Just as electricity revolutionized industries in the past, AI is now at a similar transformative inflection point, with the potential to reshape our world. STEALTH is a Venture Capital company founded by Ali Sina in 2017 that invests in large-scale cloud compute, AI supercomputers and startups that use AI to improve human existence and help solve planetary-scale problems in areas where humanity is failing. STEALTH portfolio which currently holds over 300 companies in 50 different sectors including AI, Social, Green and Wireless Energy, Data Science and Cloning, ML, RCA, BCI, AR/VR and EdTech. Our purpose is to build AI companies that move humanity forward.

 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Geographic Information Systems Intern to help with a variety of tasks associated with building the GIS startups in our portfolio of companies. 

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Offer real-world experience on exciting projects

  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs

  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures

  • Independently conduct advanced spatial analyses using ArcGIS software

  • Work with project teams and clients to design and effectively apply GIS on regulatory and permitting elements of infrastructure projects

  • Create maps, databases, and web-based GIS resources

  • Develop geodatabase schemas and analysis methods needed to support project goals

  • Configure, develop, and support web GIS applications using Esri Story Maps, Field Maps, and other offerings within ArcGIS Online platform

  • Communicate and collaborate with remote team members and individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds, both technical and non-technical

  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager

  • Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program in BS or MS degree in GIS required

  • Experience and education in GIS

  • Proficient with ESRI GIS platform applications (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, AGOL)

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail a must

  • Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • An attitude and commitment to quality, teaming, innovative problem solving, communication, relationship management, and the culture that is integral to our employee ownership model

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA

  • Programing experience preferred

  • Field data collection experience preferred

  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
